Membership is open to all eligible individuals and organizations that  affirm the goals of International Universities Council and are eager to  advance them.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBER

They are Higher Education Organizations accepted for membership with the absolute vote of the Board of Directors.

FULL MEMBER

They are state organizations, institutions, associations and  trade bodies with educational purposes, which are accepted for  membership with the absolute vote of the Board of Directors.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBER

They are individuals who are recommended by at least one of the  Members of the Board of Directors, elected by two thirds majority of  the Board of Directors and take part in academic or administrative  staffs of Higher Education Organizations. Professional membership is  limited to three years and a professional member may be re-elected.

HONORARY MEMBER

They are individuals who are recommended by at least one of the  Members of the Board of Directors along with detailed information  regarding the individual’s contributions and successes elected by two  thirds majority of the Board of Directors and have extraordinary  contributions to the Council or its goals. Honorary membership is  limited to three years and an honorary member may be re-elected.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP

Board of Directors decides on the eligibility of a candidate  for membership. Board of Directors may terminate the membership of the  members who do not fulfil their duties and requirements even if they  regularly pay their contributions.
